Celebrate the gift of receiving the Torah with special events for the whole community.  Children come to hear the ten commandments read from the Torah and enjoy a special ice cream party on the holiday of Shavuot. 
Gorsky Hebrew Sunday School participants make special projects as they prepare for the holiday.  Women celebrate with a special pre-holiday event and decorate the synagogue with beautiful flowers.
Teen boys and men gather for an all Torah night learning in the synagogue followed by a lavish dairy breakfast kiddush.
